Learn How to Make Solar Panels
Make solar panels For Your Home
If the thought of building your own solar panel appears daunting, it shouldn't be.
Surprisingly, the technology has been around for about 30 years and learning how to make solar panels doesn't require studying for an engineering degree or other higher qualification. You won't need to do any intensive study to learn how to build one.
Solar Panel Materials and Equipment
The list of materials needed is quite mundane, most of which you'll already have in your workshop - glue, silicone caulking, plastic panels, fiberboard, solder, wiring, screws and paint. The only other material you'll need to source are pre-tabbed solar cells and diodes.
The equipment needed is pretty basic too: wire strippers and cutters, soldering irons, saws and screw drivers. Any average DIY enthusiast will probably have all these tools in their workshop already, and be all set to go immediately.
The first thing you need to do is find a source for solar cells. Since these are specialized items, your local hardware and electrical stores won't stock them. You should, however, be able to easily find suppliers on the internet with a bit of searching.
Building the Solar Panel
Once you've found a solar cell supplier, learning how to make solar panels is pretty simple stuff. All it requires is that you build a box to house the cells and wire them together in series. Painting the box black will help the solar cells to absorb any reflected heat energy so they make the most of the solar radiation available. The back of the box needs to be weatherproofed using the silicone caulking and the front of the box should sealed from the elements with a plastic or glass lid.
Use a bead of caulking on the back of each cell to attach it to the backing board of the solar panel. Then wire the cells together to ensure that the current flows in one direction. Small diodes can be added to ensure that this happens and to prevent reverse flow of electrical energy during the night time.
An even easier solution for this when you make solar panels is to put a charge control device on the storage battery connected to the cells so as to restrict current flow to one direction only.
It's important to insulate all parts in order to avoid rain damage. And, as with any electrical installation, nut damage can easily be repaired. These solar panels require very little maintenance and can be quite a striking addition to a home's exterior.
Simple Way To Make Solar Panels
This solar power project is much more simple to build than people realize. And the fact that it can be up and running in just a few hours makes it a very attractive renewable energy option.

Be aware, though, that there are scammers and cowboy suppliers who will try to sell you B-grade solar cells which are just not worth buying. Some suppliers will also sell you the solder and extra tabs as part of the deal. So look at supplier recommendations and customer reviews before you settle on a stockist.
These are solar panels that convert heat energy and sunlight into electrical energy and are a step up from more simple heat absorbing panels that warm water as it passes through them. Recognizing and understanding that learning how to make solar panels is not a huge undertaking and requires little outlay should inspire everyone to have a go at building and using this renewable energy source.

The two terms are often used interchangeably, but in some rare cases, a solar cell refers to a photo resistive cell, that has a lower electrical resistance when light shines on it. These solar (resistive) cells are used (with additional circuitry) to turn street lights on at sundown, for example. A PV (PhotoVoltaic) cell, specifically generates electrical power when illuminated.
I agree, this is a great answer to energy problems. I have been thinking this for a while now but everyone is told how you need a loan to get solar panels for your home and they are too expensive. I’m assuming one of these “trees” will be 20 grand at least and only large companies (like the electric companies) will be able to purchase, or rich people. But at least it’s a start, we need a garage team to make these suckers like 1 grand, then we can start making changes. Companies will FART all over this (making something cost money that should be free) Gotta wait till the private sector gets in on the technology.
